Subject to the approval of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA, Swisscanto has decided to merge the following investment funds on 31 May 2011:

Until the end of last year, the interest earnings accruing from bonds with an issue date before 1 March 2001 were exempt from EU tax on income from interest. This discontinuation of this exception regulation has led to a sharp decline in the bonds exempt from taxation on interest earnings. The original investment policy of the Swisscanto (CH) Bond Fund Opportunities Hedged CHF can not be continued any longer.

With the Swisscanto (CH) Bond Fund CHF, Swisscanto has a proven and successful fund available that also invests in securities of good quality. This fund is also the more favourable solution, because the annual management costs are 0.1% lower than in the case of the Swisscanto (CH) Bond Fund Opportunities Hedged CHF.
