Note: Following approval of the appropriate amendments to the fund agreement, redemption orders which reach the custodian bank by 23 October 2009 will be dealt with for the last time as having a period of notice of one month. Thereafter the new period of notice will apply.

Swisscanto Alternative Funds (umbrella funds) are intended to continue being able to invest in as large a selection of attractive target funds as possible. Since many of these target funds have extended their periods of notice, this must now also be done for the Swisscanto funds so as to ensure that the periods applying to target funds and to umbrella funds, respectively, remain in congruence.

This measure protects the interests of existing, long-term oriented investors. Sales to service redemptions can thus be better planned (optimisation of cash holdings), preventing any ill effects on the investment strategy.

The frequency regarding subscriptions and redemptions of fund units will not change. This means that orders for subscriptions and for redemptions can continue to be placed monthly.
